Women and girls with disabilities face heightened risks during emergencies, including barriers to hygiene, safety, and access to essential services. In the disaster-prone Asia-Pacific region, inclusive humanitarian responses are critical.

UNFPA’s Dignity Kits provide essential items to support the health, mobility, and dignity of women and girls in crisis settings. To ensure these kits are truly accessible and responsive, their design must reflect the lived experiences of women and girls with disabilities.

This consultation guide offers practical steps to engage persons with disabilities in developing customised Dignity Kits—promoting inclusive, rights-based responses that leave no one behind.
