For nearly seventy years, Myanmar has experienced internal conflict that has greatly impacted civilians, especially in its border regions. The nation is also prone to natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, and cyclones. Currently, millions are in urgent need of humanitarian aid due to the combined effects of ongoing conflict and frequent disasters.

In this difficult environment, UNFPA collaborates with local communities to provide essential sexual and reproductive health services during emergencies, from preparedness through to response. With the Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP), UNFPA guarantees that women and girls can access crucial care in the initial days and weeks of a crisis.
